Mary Hoeft Smith

Mary Hoeft Smith is the Program Administrator for the Office of Lawyer Regulation’s Trust Account Program. She received an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and was a BAPR grievance investigator for 17 years before taking on OLR’s overdraft notification program in November 1999.  She worked with the State Bar and the Wisconsin Bankers Association in drafting both the 2004 and 2007 trust account rules. Ms. Hoeft Smith has presented numerous seminars on trust account management, and has expanded OLR’s website to include information and guidance on trust account issues.
